Top-notch and Ninja Nuance

I’m reviving my blog because it’s a great thing to do on this gorgeous day weather-wise…sunny and bright after a week of on-and-off rain, wind and power outages. Being a full time working artist and a full time manager of social distant learning requires other outlets of expression. There is so much art and home balancing right now that has transitioned from single task studio time, home renovations and running the kids around to being full time everything all at once. The state of Massachusetts announced yesterday that school will be run remotely for the rest of the year. I knew it was coming, we all did. The news, being official, was still a whammy, though. This morning, I’m inspired to officially merge my two worlds as seamlessly as I can. Here begins a new chapter, another transition, another attempt at normalcy…

In the world of this blog, my 7 yo daughter will be known as Ninja Nuance. My 9 yo son will be Top-notch. Below are two blind contour portraits I did of each of them during one of our daily art prompt exercises…
